Dr. Barbara K. Lofton

Dr. Barbara K. Lofton is an Ordained Minister, Motivational Speaker, Psalmist, and Author. She is a woman of God who lives on purpose! She loves the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul. Her purpose is to know God better than the day before and to be a witness to His unfailing love and grace. Barbara holds a Master of Science in Management. She is a retired Hospital Administrator and she served in many capacities such as Human Resources Coordinator, Budget Analyst, Contract Officer Representative, and other administrative responsibilities. Barbara plans to use the skills she developed in the marketplace for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Dr. Lofton holds a Doctor of Christian Counseling and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling and Psychology. She aspires to bring hope, healing, and restoration to all by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. She has a heart for God’s people and seeks to offer godly counsel to the lost and hurting. A published author, her first book the “The Cost of Favor”, was published on August 10, 2010. This book is a testament to her life and how God’s favor comes with a cost. Barbara shares a powerful testimony that speaks of faith and obedience as well as being able to worship even in the most trying times. Barbara lost her daughter in a tragic car accident in 2005. Her second book “Dear Butterfly Heart: “Letters to Chanel” are enduring poems she wrote to her daughter over the last few years. Dear Butterfly Heart: “Letters to Chanel” is a book that serves as a true testament to tragedy, pain, hope, and peace. The book contains poems, prayers, and scriptures to help those who are dealing with or have dealt with the loss of a loved one, pet, job, or any other loss. “Dear Butterfly Heart: “Letters to Chanel”, provides hope and healing for those who have experienced loss and encourages others through her testimony.
